Outreach program / federating projects

Inspired by Stella Adler and Rita Laura Segato, Céline Nogueira has been building a pedagogy for emancipation destined to all and   with whom she uses theatrical tools to enhance empathy, cohesion and empowerment.

She launches in  2021 the Outreach program “My body, my territory!”, winning project of the City of Toulouse’ contest to reduce sexual violences and sexism. The program includes theatre, movement, restorative yoga, writing workshops and creative project.

With the Outreach Programs, our focus is to help emancipate and integrate isolated vulnerable women, men and youngsters and raise social accountability.

This hand-in-hand approach involves everyone committing to their own responsibility – the City, the social and activist organizations, schools, children & teenagers welfare and Care Centers- so that everyone is on equal terms and may benefit from it. It is a horizontal approach, a nurturing movement where the responsible « majority » stands for the « minorities » to best achieve the goals. The work is a process of body-voice-action training in which actors reconcile with their body, voice, thoughts, ideas and drive, to transform. And the transformation comes through their own action and projects in the outside world.

These persons are marginalized, submitted to a domination and the shame and fear that goes with it, restraining their access to education, employment and resources, making them dependent on external support and inhibit their integration. Once they get a grip of their physical capacities and boundaries, they can better confront themselves with the world. It is a nurturing process where there is no «  knower » who is above and saves the other, it is a circle of trust where everyone’s ability, expertise and sensitivities participate in everyone’s growth.

2022 : My Body, my Territory ! (Winning projects in 2021, 2022 of the Call from the City of Toulouse to prevent sexism and sexist violences against young girls.)

“My Body, my Territory” is one of the winning project of  the public call launched by the City of Toulouse for the prevention of  Sexism thought as a collaborative project to creatively empower grils and young women. It is inclusive and bonding and aims at emancipating girls and young women by deconstructing their habits and environment.

It aims at enhancing each participants’ voice through self-expression, writing and publicly reading their own creative material. Such is our belief for “empowerment” : taking ownership of one’s own body as a territory and envisage its participation in the geographical one so as to reconsider one’s occupation of space, activities and responsibilities in one’s environment.
