As part of\u00a0Universc\u00e8nes, the Foreign Language Theatre Festival at\u00a0Universit\u00e9 Toulouse \u2013 Jean Jaur\u00e8s<\/strong>, the English-language theatre company\u00a0Les S\u0153urs Fatales\u00a0entrusted C\u00e9line Nogueira and Innocentia Inviolata with the artistic direction of fourteen productions.<\/p>\n
These productions include works from<\/p>\n
    \n
  • the modern American repertoire, such as Arthur Miller\u2019s The Crucible, Susan Glaspell\u2019s The People, and plays by Sam Shepard;<\/li>\n
  • the British repertoire, including David Farr\u2019s The UN Inspector and Christopher Hampton\u2019s The Talking Cure;<\/li>\n
  • the Canadian repertoire, with works by Ann-Marie MacDonald;<\/li>\n
  • the Scottish repertoire, including David Greig\u2019s Dunsinane;<\/li>\n
  • as well as Shakespearean classics such as Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, and Macbeth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    C\u00e9line Nogueira also wrote two adaptations: pa.tri.ar.chy<\/em>, based on Sophie Treadwell\u2019s Machinal<\/em>, and Stand Up for Bastards!<\/em>, inspired by Shakespeare\u2019s tyrannical figures.<\/p>\n
    She also directed the Portuguese theatre company Brastugas in Todos o Nenhum<\/em> by Jo\u00e3o Menino Vargas.<\/p>\n
    These productions have been performed in France at Th\u00e9\u00e2tre des Mazades, CIAM \u2013 La Fabrique, Th\u00e9\u00e2tre Sorano, MAC Chapou (Toulouse), and La Gare aux Artistes (Montrab\u00e9), as well as internationally at the RITU Festival in Li\u00e8ge, Belgium, and in Tangier, Morocco.<\/p>\n
    In 2023, Hamlet received the Best Actor Award at the Tangier International University Theatre Festival.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
